This is a single, exquisitely painful nodule on the ear cartilage, a much more focal and tender condition than the itchy, violaceous plaques of chilblains on acral sites.
GA presents as asymptomatic, annular plaques with a "ropy" border, a completely different morphology and symptomatology than the tender, dusky nodules of chilblains.
