Now known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, this is a post-traumatic pain syndrome characterized by allodynia and autonomic dysfunction, a different context than primary erythromelalgia.
Also known as Buerger's disease, this is an occlusive vascular disease in smokers, leading to ischemia and digital ulceration, whereas erythromelalgia is a syndrome of painful erythema.
