Neuroma

A proliferation of nerve tissue that forms a very painful, firm, subcutaneous nodule, often at a site of prior trauma.

Osteoma cutis

A benign deposit of bone in the skin, presenting as a rock-hard, subcutaneous papule or nodule that can be painful.
