About Dr Magnus Lynch
Dr Magnus Lynch is an internationally recognised Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon. In his private practice in Central London he treats skin cancer, acne, rosacea and acne scars, and performs Mohs surgery, facial reconstructive surgery and laser surgery.

Training
Dr Lynch studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and gained a doctorate (DPhil) at the University of Oxford. He passed postgraduate membership examinations in both surgery and medicine, then trained in dermatology at St John's Institute of Dermatology (Guy's Hospital), one of the world's leading dermatology centres. There he completed a fellowship in Mohs and facial reconstructive surgery, and he is now a Mohs surgeon at St John's specialising in complex skin cancer.
Research
Dr Lynch is an Honorary Reader (equivalent to associate professor) at King's College London, where his research team is developing new treatments to prevent skin cancer and improve scarring. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed papers, including the highest resolution map reported to date of the cells in healthy skin and basal cell carcinoma, and has co-founded biotech companies that aim to bring these discoveries to patients. He has served as a guest editor of Dermatologic Surgery, the journal of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Read more about his research.
