SIBO and Rosacea
There is evidence for a connection between gut health and skin health, often referred to as the "gut-skin axis." Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), a condition where there is an excessive amount of bacteria in the small intestine, has been shown in some studies to be more common in people with rosacea.
In my view the evidence for a causal link is currently weak, but it is possible that this position may change over time as more research is done.
