How effective is isotretinoin?
For a high proportion of patients, a course of isotretinoin will lead to a sustained improvement in your skin. This does not mean that you will never have acne in the future, however usually this is mild and can be managed with over the counter or topical treatments. Approximately 10-15% of patients may require a second course of acne at some point in the future and an even smaller proportion may require multiple courses.
